During the summer, Curtis opens its doors to provide musicians and music lovers opportunities to explore classical music and experience the Curtis Institute of Music’s “learn by doing” philosophy.
For advanced high school and undergraduate singers, this two-week program offers personal, private instruction with faculty from Curtis’s vocal studies department including Mikael Eliasen, artistic director of Curtis Opera Theatre.
Three-week intensive program for advanced high school and college-age students. Composers, conductors, orchestral instrumentalists, and pianists benefit from private instruction, chamber ensemble, seminars, and master classes.
Week-long intensive program of master classes with Elizabeth Hainen, faculty at Curtis and principal harp of the Philadelphia Orchestra; ensemble playing; and orchestral training.
Master classes with Jeffrey Khaner, faculty at Curtis and principal flute of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and flute classes with Mimi Stillman, artistic director of the Dolce Suono Ensemble.
